Local Food and Drink

M&S Glossop Simply Food

Howard Mills, Glossop SK13 8AQ, UK – 01457 899645

Some brilliant staff, some very miserable, and one downright rude! Average store. Store manager needs to be visible instead of hiding in the back and be on the shop floor to train & manage staff. Have to say, i prefer to travel to Buxton Waitrose from Glossop to shop there.

Great store for food. Not enough vegetarian and vegan choice though. Can be a bit pricey but the quality is usually excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly and provide excellent service. Free but busy parking. Recommended. Go shop.

Praze Fine Foods Ltd

53 High St W, Glossop SK13 8AZ, UK – 01457 860916

An absolute gem of a shop and great owners, I wish them the very best for future A+

Great selection of fine meats and cheeses, as well as a wonderful selection of quality drinks and ingredients to accompany them. Friendly and helpful service provided to make sure that you get something really tasty for a great meal.

Harvey Leonard's Wine & Ale Tasters

The Old Conservative Club, 22 Norfolk St, Glossop SK13 8BS, UK – 01457 239538

Buzzin' place. Many of my colleagues rave about this place. My first visit and it lived up to the hype. The friendly and knowledgeable staff happy to explain their card system to buy the extensive range of wines and ales. A well stocked bar if you just like the old fashioned way to buy drinks (but if you get the card you can have small tasters). A gem of a place literally opposite the station at Glossop so leave the car at home and share a platter with friends and loved ones.

Great selection of beers and wines. Staff and owners are knowledgeable and helpful. My personal opinion, I preferred the old place but I can appreciate that they needed more space. It can get very busy and loud.

BigBarn has a totally brilliant map for Derbyshire showing all the local food producers. So if you want to know where your food comes from look no further!
The Kent & Sussex Tea and Coffee Company was established 26 years ago when the Smith family returned from India, where for two generations we had been involved with tea. The website contains information about all the different teas and coffees supplied together with regular updates on new additions to the range.
